Bandita Betty’s is a bold, Western-inspired bar brand celebrating freedom, adventure, and nonconformity, centered around the spirited character of ‘Aunt Betty Maverick.’ The brand identity combines rustic reds, whiskey browns, cactus greens, and golds with a mix of traditional Western and modern typography, while iconic elements like Betty’s silhouette and vintage motel keys bring the story to life. Environmental design integrates these elements throughout the space, with branded signage, thematic decor, and interactive features that immerse visitors in an unforgettable Old West experience.

Overview

MARGO is a sustainable pearl jewelry brand designed for fashion-forward individuals aged 16-30 who value simplicity, timeless luxury, and ethical consumerism. Each piece is crafted with a commitment to sustainability, quality, and individuality, offering customers unique, ethically sourced designs that inspire a lifestyle of elegance and responsibility. By combining opulent aesthetics with a strong focus on ethical practices, MARGO stands out as a brand that empowers its customers to make meaningful, eco-conscious choices without compromising on style.

My Approach & Contributions

The MARGO project was guided by a design narrative that embodies the concept of “Wishes from the Ocean,” blending sustainability, ethical practices, and timeless elegance. The approach began with a vision to redefine luxury in the pearl jewelry market by creating designs that transcend the ordinary and embrace a deep respect for our planet. Drawing inspiration from the Australian coast, each pearl and metal material was ethically sourced to ensure that every piece reflects a commitment to environmental responsibility and the well-being of ecosystems and communities.

My design process emphasized minimalism and sophistication, focusing on creating dainty, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces that are both cherished and enduring. Sustainability was woven into every aspect, from sourcing and crafting to eco-friendly packaging, creating a brand that aligns with the values of modern, fashion-forward individuals who prioritize ethical consumerism. The digital presence and packaging were thoughtfully developed to reflect the brand’s values while offering customers an immersive, luxurious experience. My contributions to this brand included developing a brand identity that defined the brand’s overall goals and aesthetic, developing a logo design and packaging concepts that reflected the minimalist and sophisticated aesthetic, and overall marketing and stortelling to communicate the brand’s narrative and values across digital platforms.

This project highlights the potential of sustainable luxury, redefining opulence as not only an outward expression of beauty but also a reflection of deep respect for the earth and ethical practices.
